    Find out firsthand why many patrons and media sources, including Atlanta Magazine, have acclaimed Cat Eye Creative as the best art gallery in the ATL. In 2018, founder Adam Crawford opened the studio and gallery in a quest to "bring art to the people." More than 100 artists and designers from around the world are represented, with their works for sale in the gallery and on the website. Upcoming exhibits include the solo debut of local artist Sean Sweeney (4/12-5/4) and "Illumine," a unique nighttime art and lighting installation set at Oakland Cemetery. Gallery hours are 11 a.m. - 7 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday and 11 a.m. - 5 p.m. Sunday.

  • Whitespace Gallery - 814 Edgewood Ave. NE, Atlanta, GA 30307
    Located in a converted 1893 carriage house in owner Susan Bridges' backyard, Whitespace Gallery offers a blend of Atlanta's storied past and the contemporary sensibilities of today's artists. Exhibits of works in various mediums share a common thread of exploring community and individual relationships that define us. In addition to the main gallery, Whitespace features Whitespec, a viewing room for graduate shows from BFA and MFA students, and ShedSpace, a bookstore with a curated collection of art, design, and architecture titles. Whitespace is open Thursday through Saturday from 11 a.m. - 5 p.m. or by appointment.

  • Eyedrum Art & Music Gallery - 515 Ralph David Abernathy Blvd., Atlanta, GA 30312
    Engage your ears as well as your eyes at Eyedrum Art & Music Gallery. Since 1998 and their modest beginning in a downtown loft apartment, the gallery moved through several different locations and spent time operating as an itinerant organization before landing in their current space in 2021. As a non-profit gallery and performance venue, Eyedrum aims to present experimental works of art and music that don't receive wide exposure.     The sleek three-story townhome that houses TEW Galleries complements the display of works from local, national, and international contemporary artists. Owner Timothy Tew's background in the art business dates back to his days living in Paris. Galerie Timothy Tew, founded in 1987 as an Atlanta showcase for French painters, morphed into the current space featuring paintings, photographs, and sculptures. Hunt Slonem: THE Soul of Nature, an exhibit running through 3/29, represents themes and perspectives frequently displayed in the gallery. Hours are 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. weekdays and 11 a.m. - 5 p.m. Saturday.

  • Atlanta Artists Center - 2979 Grandview Ave. NE, Atlanta, GA 30305
    Be among the first to see the works of up-and-coming artists who are developing their craft at the Atlanta Artists Center. The non-profit group dates back to 1954, making them the oldest fine art membership organization in Georgia. AAC also hosts workshops and classes for those who want to explore their own creativity. Individual and family memberships are available. Hours are 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday.
